Event: NIS 2.0 – what’s in store for German companies?
The EU has responded to the increasingly frequent attacks on the IT systems of many small and medium-sized enterprises and adopted the Network and Information Security Directive 2.0 (NIS2) in 2022, which must be transposed into German law by October 2024. This affects companies in certain sectors with 50 or more employees and a turnover of more than 10 million euros. What is new is that the size criteria for the companies affected have been significantly reduced and that, in addition to the “critical” sectors already affected, such as banking, healthcare and energy, producers and retailers in the chemical industry, the food sector and the manufacturing industry or manufacturers of goods are also obliged to take protective measures. Find out from our specialists whether you are affected and what measures you need to take.
